Yaesu kondigt de FT-70DR aan

Yaesu FT-70DR ($199.95)

C4FM FDMA / FM 144/430 MHz DUAL BAND 5W Handheld Transceiver

The FT-70DR is a compact System Fusion transceiver providing both conventional analog FM operation and the advanced C4FM Digital mode.

The FT-70DR provides up to 5W of reliable RF power, and its large Front Speaker delivers 700mW of Loud Audio Output. Because C4FM has better BER (Bit Error Rate) characteristics than other digital modulations, the user can expect exceptional audio quality.

The digital FT-70DR includes Automatic Mode Select (AMS) function. AMS detects the operating mode of the received signal as C4FM Digital or analog FM, and then automatically and instantly switches the receiver to the appropriate mode. Users do not need to manually change between modes.

The multi-colored LED Mode-Indicator displayed on the front allows the operator to easily see what mode the FT-70DR is in at any given moment. LED Mode-Indicator clearly and visibly shows the transmit/ receive mode by changing its color so that the operating mode of the transceiver is easily recognized at a glance.

One of the other distinguishing features of the FT-70DR is Digital Group Monitor (GM) with DG-ID and DP-ID. DGID (Digital Group Identification) and DP-ID (Digital Personal Identification) are useful features now included in the FT-70DR, to simplify the GM operation. Simply put, the transceivers selecting the same DG-ID or DP-ID can communicate with each other. Between 00 and 99 DG-ID and DP-ID are selectable which provides loads of flexibility so that users can enjoy group communication with friends in GM mode in accordance to their individual operational needs.

Other included standard features and functions are; IP54 Rating (Dust/ Water Protection) construction, wide band receive coverage of 108 – 579.995MHz, Versatile Scanning Capabilities such as Programmable VFO Scan, Memory Scan, and Priority Channel Scan, External DC Jack for DC Supply Operation and to Charge the Battery, Mini USB port for convenient programming and software updates, CTCSS/ DCS Operation, Automatic Power Off (AFO) feature, RF Squelch, Transmitter Time Out Timer (TOT) and Busy Channel Lock-Out (BCLO).

Motorola klaagt Hytera aan op inbreuk van patent

CHICAGO – March 14, 2017 – Motorola Solutions, Inc. (NYSE: MSI) (“Motorola Solutions” or the “Company”) today announced it has filed complaints in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Hytera Communications Corporation Limited (SHE: 002583) (“Hytera”) of Shenzhen, China. The complaints assert that Hytera’s two-way radios, base stations, repeaters and dispatch systems, as well as its related commercialization and sales activities, are infringing patents owned by Motorola Solutions and utilizing stolen Motorola Solutions trade secrets.

Motorola Solutions believes that Hytera is intentionally infringing its intellectual property and misappropriating its trade secrets, which has enabled Hytera to compete unfairly by bypassing investment in innovation.

Mark Hacker, general counsel and chief administrative officer of Motorola Solutions, said, “Motorola Solutions has a long and distinguished track record of developing industry-leading products and technologies, reflecting our significant investments in research and our commitment to innovation. We are proud to have built an extensive portfolio of more than 4,000 patents, including the patents at issue in these lawsuits, which were developed by Motorola Solutions’ world-class engineers.”

Mr. Hacker continued, “We believe it is clear, and we are confident the Courts will agree, that Hytera’s product portfolio and marketing materials are based on Motorola Solutions’ proprietary intellectual property. Brazen copying and blatant, willful infringement of this sort create an unfair playing field and threaten the industry’s ability to innovate. We will use every means available to vigorously defend the Company’s valuable intellectual property, while continuing to drive innovation and technical excellence for the benefit of our customers around the world.”

Hytera’s illegal behavior was assisted by three engineers who resigned from the Company to join Hytera, where they had key roles in developing Hytera’s infringing products using misappropriated Motorola Solutions technologies and continue in senior-level positions today. In the period leading up to their resignations, through a series of serious misrepresentations and carefully planned illegal acts, these engineers maliciously accessed, downloaded and transferred more than 7,000 highly confidential files related to Motorola Solutions’ technologies, including confidential technical, marketing, sales, legal and other types of trade secret materials. Subsequently, Hytera began illegally manufacturing and marketing a line of products and technologies containing technologies invented, designed, developed and in some cases patented by Motorola Solutions.

Motorola Solutions is seeking to enjoin Hytera’s continued infringement and misappropriation by stopping its sales of key products in the United States and importation of those infringing products into the United States. The Company is committed to ensuring that its intellectual property rights are protected around the world.
